I’ve publish the first version of the skinning reference for WiiRadio at WiiBrew. Anyone interested in creating their own skins for WiiRadio should take a look.

    Hello I have one Question.
    Can you add Radio Paralax to the Playlist for Wii Radio?
    Its a Radio that plays old Game-Soundtracks.

    Playlists are not released with WiiRadio. You either have to surf in the browser and add them or create your own .PLS/.M3U and copy it to the sd:/apps/radiow/pls folder.

    I think He ment a Wii Radio Station Chanell like adding a Genra for Game soundtracks or Christain Radio stations

  4. admin says:

    In the next version you can add your own genres. This is currently available in the SVN right now.

    A great product!
    It would be great if you could you implement support for .asf, .wma, .rm format, because this radio stream sources are broader of choice.

    Would also be nicer if there is a shortcut to open my favorite radio station, not need to switch on the TV, maybe too much challenge.
    ( I would contribute donation for above 2 features)

    A great thing you have already done is customizable skin design!

    Thanks again and best wishes!

    - Yes maybe in the future :)

    - You mean being able to play it without the TV? Not sure I fully understand the question. Thanks :)

    Hi,

    i think he means moving to the TV for switching the channel. I have the same problem.

    You mean like a feature to change channels without a TV? I presume you’re not putting the audio through the TV then.

  10. DonElTomato says:

    “I presume you’re not putting the audio through the TV then.” No, the audio comes from the TV but I am on the balcony for example. The TV has also some audio boxes plugged in and standing on the balcony too. Now I am hearing my music on the balcony and suddenly I want to change the channel. What I need to do is go inside to the TV use the Wiimote to select an new channel. I think it would be a great beature if I can switch between some channels using the nunchuck. Browsing my Favorites using the up and down stick for example.

  11. admin says:

    Hi DonElTomato,

    Yes totally doable. I’ll add it to the todo list.

    Thanks for your quick responding!

    I am afraid you both have misunderstood my wish. In fact, I would prefer to switch on wii and then just touch a combination of WiiRomote keys and it will just to my favorite internet station. The sound goes directly to my AV-Center, so no TV/video/image needed.(So I can close my eyes and only listen to my music :-)

    On the other side, I have tried to add an internet station to /apps/radiow/pls:
    ——————
    [playlist]
    NumberOfEntries=1
    File1=http://str31.creacast.com:80/klassik1
    Title1=Klassik Radio by http://www.creacast.com
    Length1=0
    Version2
    —————–
    But I got “choked” sound in the background, seems like buffering is problematic. But at the same time I tried mplayer_CE, it goes smoothly!(Only after a couple of minutes it stops and freezes Wii!).

    Regards!

    Hi Steinchen,

    I think it would be hard to do without a TV. Even if I coded a sequence say on the nun-chuck to start a stream, you’d still need to launch the HBC and start WiiRadio without the TV.

    As for the stream buffering I’ve seen that on a couple of streams. I’ll have to look over the MPlayer code to see if I can make WiiRadio’s networking a little better.

    Hi,
    Ive been using wiiradio since the first version but not recently until i discovered v.0.4, anyway i would like to see an option to remove a station from the playlist as i mistakenly added the same station twice but could not remove it.
    Fantastic work mate love this program :)

  15. admin says:

    The big red (X) icon on the playlist should remove it. Is this not working for you?

    Hi,

    First I want to say I like your product morethan MPlayer_CE for te Wii. Especially the screensaver, and everything seems to go faster/better.

    I saw on the Scenebeta.comn site that verion 0.4 can add M3U links, but I tried to find out “how” and didn´t managed to get it working (the PLS file I know). Any possibility to tell me/us how to add M3U Links to the playlist?
    Thx!!

    P.S.: A great option would be having an option to record the station to MP3 files.
